Hey there, Anonymous!

Glad you enjoy my posts...I've got plenty more on the way so thanks for reading!

22 is considered too "old" for runway and fashion modeling but it is not too old to do commercial/print and lifestyle modeling. A majority of fashion/runway agencies set the age cut off at 21 (few have it at 22) so you technically could still meet their age requirement BUT it isn't likely that a fashion/runway agency would sign you to start modeling at that age for that type of work.

It also depends on your height. If you're not fashion height (5'8" - 6'0") and are 22, a fashion/runway agency will more than likely pass on you. However, this is not the case for commercial/print and lifestyle models. Those categories specifically cater to models in their mid to late 20s and older and the height/size requirements are much more flexible. The ideal height range for these types of models is 5'5" 0 5'7". But they also take on taller models, too, so even if you are fashion height, if you have the right look they want, an agency would represent you.

The bottom line: if you've got the height, submit to fashion agencies that have an age limit of 21 or 22 and see what happens. If you get signed--great! If you don't have any luck with those agencies, then submit to the ones that have commercial/print and/or lifestyle divisions and you'll have better luck there.
