Sadly, the kind of piercings you described are not going to fly with a modeling agency. They simply can't market you as a model if you have those piercings in because it will make you too "alternative," which is a look a majority of clients just cannot use.

There is alternative modeling, which specifically uses models with piercings and tattoos but those types of models are mostly freelance and find their own work since there aren't very many (if any) legitimate modeling agencies that represent alternative models.

So if your goal is to be a mainstream fashion model like Edie Campbell, you'll have to either opt for not getting the snake bite piercings or be willing to take the piercings out each time you go to a casting or shoot.

It sucks but if you want to be in the mainstream industry as an agency represented model, you've gotta play by their rules.

Typically, that phrase is "agency speak" for politely saying you aren't what they're looking for. If you don't meet the physical requirements stated -- for example, if it was a fashion agency you were talking to and you weren't within their stated height or size range, that would be a common response. Or it could mean that your look isn't one that they feel is currently in demand at the moment and they don't want to take the chance of signing you, only to have you sitting on roster the entire time without any traction.  While it's not a great response to receive, it is their polite way of saying no, thank you. Now that you have a definite answer from that particular agent, you can move on to submitting to others and hopefully find the one that you are the right type for. Best of luck to you!
