Hi I'm going to an open call at Wilhelmina
And it only says to bring photos
What type of photos?
And it's summer time and hot out so what type of outfit would work?
Hey there, Riley!
When an agency says to bring photos, they meant digital, snapshots that aren't professionally done.
If you refer to my blog post, "Where Do You Start in Modeling?" you'll see samples of the female snapshots that you should use for reference in putting together your own photos. No makeup and make sure your hair is pulled back into a low ponytail:
You should bring at least 3 photos:
- 1 headshot, closeup not smiling - 1 full body facing the camera straight on, hands at your sides or one hand on the hip - 1 full body profile (entire body and face should be in profile to the camera)
Print out the snapshots on photo paper, in full color and make sure you write the following info on the back of each snapshot:
- full name - Age/DOB - Measurements (height, weight, bust, waist, hips, shoe, dress, pants) - Contact info (phone number & email)
If it's warm on the day of the open call, you can wear solid colored short shorts, heels and a solid colored, fitted tank-top or t-shirt. I wouldn't recommend wearing a dress, especially if it's got a distracting or busy pattern and because most dresses don't clearly show off your figure and you don't want to show up wearing some skin tight dress, lol.
Best of luck at the casting!!!
